Into the Woods

Did you click over to my blog today thinking, I hope they have posted a photo essay of the family walking in the woods! You did? You are in luck! Because that is exactly what you are getting!

We've had a cold spring in Oregon, with lots of rain and overcast days. I guess it is pretty typical for here. We've had a few nice days sprinkled in here or there and on a recent one we decided to take a walk in the woods.

There is a great park not far from our house called Noble Woods. Its basically some trails that wind through the woods with a nice little park at the bottom. The trails are mostly paved, though our kids insist on going down any trail they can find that is NOT paved, or involves climbing over logs or under branches. That's fine, but when you have a 1 year old in a stroller, it gets a little trickier. But we carried on and tried to keep track of the boys who ran ahead and wove through the trees, choosing the smallest paths possible. It was beautiful. So if you don't want to see a bunch of pictures of my family in the woods, we'll see you at our next blog. But if you do, I present: The Woods. Please do enjoy.

That pose was totally forced

Lila was in love with that flower

Weird bumpy tree

Jonah insisted on being some sort of stick wielding dinosaur

PS: You need to know what poison ivy looks like if you are going to be going into the woods much. That looks like some prime poison ivy grounds.

You two are such good parents and I can't believe how old the kids look.

I definitely do not want to hug that bumpy tree.

How cute is Jonah perched behind the grass?! Noel's smile kills me. I would love a walk in the woods right outside my front door!
